About

Hello…I’m a psychotherapist who focuses on how past experiences impact present-day perspectives and future goals. I believe that providing a safe place, honoring your story, and imbuing the process with hope and humor can make the therapeutic experience not just valuable but enjoyable too. My practice is multi-culturally informed and sensitive to each person’s unique situation and needs. I’m an avid yogi that considers mind and body equally.

I specialize in treating trauma-related symptoms including hyper-arousal/anger, dissociation, depression, anxiety and somatic disturbances. I treat utilizing skills from methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing and Structural Family Therapy.

Education and Training:

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work at Hunter School of Social Work in 2007. I have since worked with adults, children, and adolescents in various mental health settings. I have trained in CBT, EMDR, Structural Family Therapy, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Complicated Grief.
