Trauma has many different faces. It can be a “simple trauma” which refers to a one time event or a series of unfavorable circumstances resulting in a more “complex” history. It can be a near death experience or a fracture in a childhood relationship. While the circumstances vary, our responses do not. Past experiences reemerge in the form of flashbacks, faulty relationship patterns, reactionary body responses inducing feelings of fear, nervousness and grief.

Having experienced trauma does not make us weak or vulnerable, quite the opposite. It fosters resilience and strength. It reveals our most primal survival skills. Our work together will be to optimize your innate strengths. To have a companion to witness your experience.
